JJ is back in the studio working on the follow up to his 2nd album The Boy Who Didn't Fall, with most of the recording all ready in the can.
JJ first came to the public attention when he was recruited as the front man by Scottish rockers The Silencers. The band held a massive fan base across Europe, which followed JJ when he decided to leave the band to pursue solo projects. Brief stints as front man with chart stars East 17 and the supergroup The Casbah Club followed before JJ released his debut album Sunnyside P.A.L. The album was hailed from all quarters of the media and put him firmly in the spotlight, however problems with both his record company and publisher (they both went bust) left him in a legal limbo meaning that it was 8 year before we saw the release of his second album The Boy Who Didn't Fall.
Without the resources of a label behind him, the album struggled to get airplay and sales were dissapointing. This took JJ in a different direction, taking time out to regroup and work on some other projects that he had put on the back burner. During this time he started to work on the idea he had for a musical. As the project grew, Dancing Shoes attracted the attentions of award winning playwrites Marie Jones and Martin Lynch. The show debuted at the Belfast Grand Opera Houses for a month long sell out run where the show received standing ovations ever night.
Tickets for this show are stricktly limited and will sell out fast.
